# About Envida Blockchain

Envida is a layer 2 blockchain that uses sensors and lidar cameras to gather environmental data for city mapping and environmental data processing using artificial intelligence and simulation systems with optimistic roll up technology to process the data onto the blockchain and make for a provably fair economic simulation for the network of drivers that are gathering data in return for rewards and for unaltered data for those who which to purchase that data that is being gathered.

This allows for more accurate pollution mapping, easier disaster relief coordination, and improved city planning by having detailed up-to-date maps. The Envida team is composed of experienced individuals with backgrounds in economics, artificial intelligence, big data, and software development.
